"If we would not have rainy days we wouldn't appreciate the sunny ones". Smoking produces a lot of rainy days. The biggest lie of them all is that smoking reduces stress, when in fact, the nicotine addiction increases stress levels. It is only relieved during the brief time you have that cigarette lit in your hand. You can even see this in my pictures on the left, if you look carefully enough. The question is: are you ready to set yourself free? Because nobody will do it for you.
This book is basically made of two parts. In the first part, I apply the REDUCE framework against smoking to increase my motivation to quit. While the second part applies REBT (rational emotive behavior therapy) to change irrational beliefs that support smoking into rational beliefs that obviously don't support smoking; quite the opposite.
Have you heared about the Kindle app?
Even if you don't own a Kindle device you can read the eBook version of this book using the Kindle app, right on your phone or tablet.
But there is more...
You can read the eBook even on your PC or laptop using the Kindle Cloud Reader which works in your browser.
Why do I reccommend the eBook only? Because it is cheaper, ecological and far more practical!
To be transparent, I decided to share a couple of pages to identify if "Do You Want To Stop Smoking? Here's My Stop Smoking Story Which May Inspire You" is for you.
So... you're here to quit smoking right? You don't have to buy the book to quit, the book is just about my quit smoking story.
Here's the thing: I have a Christian priest friend called Roman Gheorghe. And I told him I wrote a book to inspire people to quit smoking. I told him the fundamental idea that thoughts cause emotions and emotions cause behaviors. Beyond this, thoughts are supported by beliefs which can be rational or irrational, helpful or unhelpful. As you can imagine, irrational or unhelpful beliefs support negative thoughts which can get empowered by negative emotions that in the end can transpose in unconstructive behavior. Unconstructive behavior like smoking.
My Chirstian friend already knew that not smoking is all about fighting negative thoughts. He told me I somewhat complicated myself with REBT (Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy). Things can get far more simple than this: how about praying whenever we are bothered by negative thoughts? The idea is indeed as simple as it can be: we can connect with God by praying and negative thoughts will leave us alone. If you don’t try it you may find it hard to believe how fast negative thoughts dissipate. They will return of course, they always do, but we can pray again and again whenever they appear.
So if you want to quit smoking all you have to do is to find a prayer you resonate with and connect to God with it whenever negative thoughts strike. On the other hand if you’re interested in successful psychological stories like mine you can buy my book.
Finally, the pricing.
Cha-ching!
I kindly reccomend the Kindle only version even though it's cheaper. But you decide in the end.
